It’s been a long wait, but a new bike from Australia’s Blue Bicycle company is set to hit the shelves in Australia on February 1st.
Blue Bicycle bikes feature a unique design that allows for easy and intuitive use, but the company also has a little bit of everything: the bicycle handlebars, a full suspension front suspension, and a bicycle wheel.
In addition to the bike, Blue Bicycle has also created a bike for children with a child-sized seat, and has created a “kid friendly” version for people who might not be able to handle a bike at all.
I’m really excited to see what the future holds for this bike, and I can’t wait to see the rest of Blue Bicycle’s product line.
The company’s website lists a lot of bikes in various stages of production, and the first bikes will be available at select stores in March.
As for how many people will be able take advantage of the new Blue Bicycle bike, the company has no official numbers, but says that the bikes will make up about 10% of the company’s sales, which it hopes will be enough to offset the high cost of the bike.
“This is not a mass-produced product, so we are able to deliver the bikes at a very affordable price point,” the company told ABC News Australia.
“We are not able to make the bikes mass produced in Australia, so it is a small-batch manufacturing model.”
It’s a tough one to compete with the likes of Bontrager, which has over 30 years of experience producing bikes in Australia.
Bontragers bikes are available in various sizes, with the smallest being the “Bontra” model, which measures just 13cm wide.
And while Blue Bicycle is not an official competitor to Bontra, it’s an interesting project from a Canadian company that’s working to create a product that makes people feel good about owning a bike.
